The British player made it to the third stage in three Grand Slam tournaments Grand Slams during the season.

Emma Raducanu from Great Britain will not compete in her final two events of the year due to a health issue she has been battling in recent days.

Raducanu, aged 22 was due to play in events in Asia but opted to return home to regain her health prior to beginning her preparations for 2026.

Her upcoming training are set to feature trainer Francisco Roig, as they have agreed to work together in 2026.

Raducanu underwent blood pressure monitoring while playing the initial match with Ann Li in the Wuhan tournament and stopped playing when trailing 6-1 4-1 on a day with extreme humidity.

She again required a doctor's assessment at this week's Ningbo Open, where she lost in three sets to Zhu Lin, a Chinese wildcard in the first round.

Her movement was far from freely in the third set in the match with Zhu because of back discomfort that has troubled her at times this year.

Such performances meant an encouraging season, in which the player advanced into the top 30 globally for the first time in more than three years, concluded with three straight losses.

She held three match points before losing to American player Jessica Pegula in the third round in last month's Beijing event.

The player achieved 28 victories during 2025 and advanced to the semis in Washington, but the highlight of her season was at March's Miami Open.

Ranked first in Britain made the last eight of the WTA 1000 event, overcoming Emma Navarro, the eighth seed en route before losing in a three-set match to fourth-ranked Pegula.

She was coached by Mark Petchey as coach from Miami until Wimbledon, with Francisco Roig stepping in ahead of the US Open.

The original arrangement with the former trainer of Nadal was for the remainder of the year but the partnership will continue, with a training session scheduled in the coming months.

The athlete revealed that a three-day test period with Roig after Wimbledon was like a "black ops mission" as they aimed to maintain secrecy.

She nearly succeeded to overcoming Sabalenka, the world number one at the first competition with Roig in Cincinnati during August.

The coach also accompanied Raducanu in New York, where she made the third stage before being beaten by Elena Rybakina, the 2022 Wimbledon winner.
